This annual cherry-blossom viewing event is held at Hamanaka Sakura Park in late May, when the town's cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Since they bloom later than in most other parts of Japan, the event attracts large numbers of locals and tourists alike.

Held every year in early July.This event allows visitors to enjoy wetland flowers and local food at the same time. They will appreciate beautiful flowers in the Kiritappu Wetland and at the event venue enjoy seasonal seafood (e.g., Tokishirazu chum salmon, oysters) and local dishes offered at food stalls in tents.

This event featuring marine products is held in early September, when Akisake chum salmon, sauries and other fishes are in season. Many food sampling events are scheduled.

Lupine contents such as special exhibitions and talk shows limited to events, new original goods, and local gourmet unique to Hamanaka Town will be gathered together.

In late September, a portable shrine and decorated floats are paraded through the town to festival music.The longest-established event in the town attracts large numbers of people of all ages.
